The islands of Drenia are located opposite Ouranoupolis and their distance is around 2 nautical miles. In the 6 islets you will find beautiful shallow and sandy beaches with a magnificent island landscape. As long as you stay on the islands your experience will be fantastic so you will be thinking about returning the next day. On the main large island you will find the fish tavern \"Restia\", there you will enjoy a meal of fresh fish and seafood caught from the bay of Mount Athos.<\/p>

You can visit the Drenia islands by your own boat from Ouranoupolis. If you don't have a boat you can board the boats that are available at the port of Ouranoupolis and in about 15 minutes you will be at the big island. The other option you have is to rent yourself a motorized boat with a steering wheel and a tent [no license needed] and visit all the islets as well as the island of Ammouliani.
