The ship Kalypso offers daily unique experiences of touring Mount Athos, in a comfortable and very friendly environment. Due to its capacity (140 seats) the KALYPSO provides a more intimate and personal cruise experience, as its passengers are not forced to travel with a large number of fellow passengers.

The cruises depart at 11:00 from the port of Ouranoupolis for a 3-hour tour of the monasteries and sketes of the southwestern side of the Athonite peninsula. During the cruise you have the opportunity to admire 8 Holy Monasteries, 4 Holy Sketes (building complexes consisting of houses, like small villages, in which groups of monks live), 3 monastery arsanas located inland and not visible from the sea, Dafni, the central port of Mount Athos and of course Mount Athos, which at a height of 2,033 meters gazes majestically at the Aegean Sea.

Unique images of Byzantine monasteries of stunning architecture, which remain unchanged in time, alternate before your eyes with landscapes of incomparable natural beauty.

Passing in front of each monastery, passengers learn interesting facts about the history of the monasteries and Mount Athos, as well as about the life of the monks, through the ship's detailed tour. Upon request, the ship has the possibility to stop in front of a monastery, from which monks bring on board Holy relics for the passengers to venerate.

On board there is a mini bar where you can buy coffee, soft drinks, toast, croissants, beer, drinks and of course genuine Mount Athos wine or tsipouro. Also in the same area there is an exhibition with authentic Mount Athos products and souvenirs.
